A Poem

A poem by John Godfrey Saxe (1816-1887)

It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.

The First approach'd the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
"God bless me! but the Elephant

and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD Almighty

Isaiah 11:1-10
1 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD—
3 and he will delight in the fear of the LORD.
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears;
4 but with righteousness he will judge the needy,

Pretty Pink Nail Polish

A few years back I went to Egypt with a group called Engineering Ministries International to serve as the civil/water resources engineer on a project that had us develop a plot of land for a local ministry called Deaf Ministries International. There was a small house on-site that had a christian family staying there to protect the land from others until the owner could raise the money for a wall. Christians are not prevalent in the VERY Arab nation of Egypt and were most often not always open about their faith to others.
