Healing & Miracles 3

You may want to look at the previous two blogs to understand this. We have been talking about World Views, miracles, healing, and the supernatural. And given what we said, let's now ask the question, how does all this effect our prayers? Well, as a result prayer is not our first choice, and when it is done, it many times is done with little confidence or assurance. And, like Mr. Lewis said, when a miracle does occur, it is not recognized as such.

Healing & Miracles 2

In my last blog we talked about World Views, miracles, healing and what not. So now, let's answer the question, what is a World View? If you have ever seen Kwast's World View model, it is a series of concentric circles with various words and questions that relate to each one. Starting at the center circle, each one of us our WV tells us 'what is real'. This leads to the next circle that answers, 'what is true'; our 'beliefs'. GENESIS 3:9-13

GENESIS 3:9-13

9 But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?" 10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." 11 And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" 12 The man said, "The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." 13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

Passion Matters

Our fourth and final value at Six:Eight is Passion Matters. Rather than using the language of 'worship', passion for Jesus seems to communicate better how we are to live out our journey with Him - at least that is my humble opinion. Here is what spiritual passion looks like for us....

Story Matters

The 3rd value of Six:eight is Story Matters. A value that is essential to all believers, to understand and live in, and out of, the story of God as he pursues his people.
